Recently I bought an Amiga 500 and I wonder whether it's worth getting a hard disk for it. I don't plan to upgrade the Kickstart ROM which is version 1.3. I've read that 1.3 can autoboot from hard disk. I considered few options, but still can't decide what to buy:

I have never seen the A500 as a serious hard drive essential computer. If I were you I would keep the 500 as a games and demo disk machine and run in tandem with a 1200. If you do want a project and or a hobby with the Amiga you could always get a wreck off Ebay and start building up from scratch.
